Finca Medina, Ontinyent

As anyone who follows our website knows, we don't always limit ourselves to our local, coastal locations when listing properties. So when a previous client of ours asked if we could help find a new owner for their country home in Ontinyent, we decided what better way to spend a Friday afternoon than to have a drive out into the Valencian countryside to check it out.


Situated approximately 1 hour from both Alicante and Valencia, the house is located halfway between Ontinyent and the village of Fontanars Dels Alforins, where you will find plenty of bodegas offering good-quality locally produced wines. The drive to the house is stunning, passing the lake of El Pou Clar, literally translated as the clear well, and passing fields of numerous fruit trees and vineyards.


Access to the house is good although the last 500 metres are along a dirt track. The house has absolute privacy and tranquillity although there are one or two neighbours nearby and the local "Casa Rural" with bar and restaurant open to the public, is within walking distance.


The current owners bought the house 15 years ago and have reformed and extended the house to a high standard. What was originally a very small living area and store room is now a 3 bedroom house with large, independent kitchen, living room with open fire place and separate dining room.






The property is set on a plot of just under 10,000m2, accessed via a long driveway with covered parking for two cars, a garden with swimming pool, covered and uncovered terraces and various fruit and olive trees. There are panoramic views in all directions and beautiful sunrises and sunsets.











The house is connected to mains electricity and has 2 wells and a water deposit for water. This system guarantees continual water and even has an irrigation system built in for the garden. The current owners have lived in the house permanently so it has many home comforts including the new chimney, fully fitted kitchen, Satellite TV and internet.
