House prices increase 1.3% year-on-year in May
TINSA provided last week more signs of the strength of the property market in #Spain , and especially property along the Mediterranean coast and the Balearic Islands. The general index, which reflects the evolution of the average price of finished homes (new and used) in #Spain , registered an increase of 1.3% in the interannual rate in May, after rising five tenths since April. All the groups analyzed show growth in their average values compared to May 2020. The highest year-on-year increases in May correspond to the ‘Islas’, with a 4.6% rise, and the ‘Mediterranean coast’, with 3.2%. Below the national average, capitals and large cities show a stabilization of values (+ 0.1% per month), which leaves growth in the last year at 0.4%. The average value in the group ‘Metropolitan areas’ registered an increase of 0.2% year-on-year in May, after growing by 1.7% last month.
