Costa del Sol

I read an interesting article from the Daily Telegraph regarding the Costa del Sol which made interesting reading: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/global/main.jhtml?xml=/global/2008/03/31/noindex/opcosta129.xml&CMP=EMC-expat2008 Whilst it refers pretty much only to the property market in that area, it perfectly sums up the scenario here on the eastern coast of Spain too.

Popular Costa Blanca

According to Kyero.com, the Costa Blanca region is most the popular Spanish Costa – receiving 26.6% of all coastal property enquiries in Spain. This area boasts a relatively large number of English-speaking residents, making it easier for relocating Brits to fit into everyday life, as well as a consistently warm climate that gives the Costa Blanca year-round appeal for holiday-makers. The Costa Blanca can also be said to be the most popular of the Costas because its house prices average at €237,000, 3% less than the Spanish average of €245,000, making owning a second home affordable.

Another listing at La Sella Golf Resort - Denia 110.000 Euros

Image
With the success of our last listing at La Sella Golf Resort (located in between Denia and Javea), we have located another fantastically priced property - 110.000 Euros - which we expect to sell within days as opposed to months. This is another one bedroom property in a great location, but what is most important here is that this property is priced to sell. More information and pictures here: http://www.ultimatehomes-spain.com/index.php?page=showprop&prop_id=421 We already have several interested parties seriously considering the purchase of this apartment so of course we are looking to list more in the area, but only at great prices. Perhaps the Beckhams could learn a thing or two as they are now facing that very issue with the sale of their Madrid "estate", now that David’s sojourn with Real Madrid is over. They reportedly put their house in Madrid’s La Moraleja neighborhood—often described as the Beverly Hills of Madrid—on the market last year for £6.5 million. But the...

New listings in Javea and Denia

Image
We have been given the opportunity to offer for sale this fantastic property near Javea, which is without doubt one of the most prestigious properties in the area. Price is 2.900.000 and viewing by appointment. More details and photos here. Also, another property we have just listed located in the heart of the La Sella Golf Resort looks a real bargain. Priced at only 82.000 Euros, this one bedroom apartment would make a perfect holiday pad and at this price, a nice little investment. For more information on this opportunity, click here.

Interview with Jose Luis Hernandez, President of Polaris World

Image
The president of Polaris World predicts that the largest promoter in the Region of Murcia will be handing over more than 3,000 properties to new owners during 2008. The year 2007 has been, as you say, the best in its history. What does 2008 bring? We hope to at least maintain last years results. It is a more complicated market: the customer is no longer as receptive to buying a second home as they were a few years ago and we must target our customer with more accurate communication. But we are still confident we will have a good 2008. How will you survive the "crisis"? Our product is sufficiently competitive to maintain customer interest. The customer remains interested as long as there is a competitive product. In addition the client continues to have purchasing power to acquire the product. The industry seems to move towards a true partnership. How do you see this? There are other builders of similar size searching for synergies and which individually cannot undertake cert...
