Snow - Yes it's true

Heavy snowfalls across the Valencia region yesterday led to a fall in local maximum temperatures of 21 degrees over just two weeks.Several side roads were blocked by the snowfall and chains were needed on part of the main National network in L’Alcoiá, El Comtat and La Foia. Some 10,000 schoolchildren celebrated a day off school as the snow reached as far as the Cabecó d’Or mountain near Alicante. Banyeres saw a low of -2 degrees.Three ferries between Denia and the Balearics were cancelled because of the weather, while more than 70 litres of rain was recorded in Denia and Javea.
