Low Cost Festival 2013


Just a little off-topic (in terms of property that is) but here is the line-up for this years Low Cost Festival in Benidorm with headline acts Portishead and Glasvegas recently announced. A great weekend of music for sure.

In Tempo defies the crisis

The skyscrapers keep getting higher in Benidorm and three years from now, the highest residential block in Europe will be finished. After one year of moving earth and laying foundations, to a depth of 17 metres, the In Tempo building now boasts signs of life and the first three floors are visible. Last week, a mini celebration took place to commemorate the first anniversary of work starting on the site. Also worth celebrating is the fact that nearly 50% of the project is sold already, and that in the current economic crisis. The dimensions of the skyscraper are impressive, with it due to reach 200 metres in height, distributed over 55 floors and two towers that will be joined by a central piece in where the most expensive properties will be located (approx 6000 Euros per square metre). Villajoyosa - a hidden gem

Villajoyosa has recently been picked up by some of the major travel publications and highlighted as one of the places to be in 2024, in fact the number one place to be! I will share the links to the articles below so you can read for yourself, but it has spurred me on to write a few words too about this pretty little town located in between Alicante and Benidorm. What strikes you first is that Villajoyosa is a busy little town which has retained a lot of its character, with the colourful fisherman cottages that line the seafront being the perfect example - the different colours allowing the fishermen to navigate home quickly after long stretches, or perhaps when the weather wasn't so kind. Villajoyosa has several sandy beaches, with the Playa Centro and Playa Torres being very popular and personal favourites of mine, plus some stunning bays to explore, including Bol Nou, Paradis and Racó de Conill. Taxing times

Miguel Marina, who became famous overnight a few weeks ago because he was raffling his apartment in Ciempozuelos (Madrid) at five Euros a ticket, has called-off the raffle. He will return the money to all the participants because he cannot afford the 48,000 Euros that he would have had to pay to the National State Lottery and the Betting Commission before beginning the drawing.
