New Year Trek - Guadalest

Guadalest is often mentioned in various guides as one of the "must-visit" towns and villages  throughout the Valencia region, even one of the most beautiful villages in all of Spain. The reservoir looks amazing from up on high with its green water (caused by tiny particles of silt suspended in the water). However, not many see it from down below which is exactly what we decided to do as we've been enjoying fantastic weather since the New Year. Our route started at the village of Beniarda, which is located a couple of minutes drive from the town of Benimantell, which itself neighbours Guadalest. Having walked through the village of Beniarda, this is the view we were greeted with. The walking tracks our also shared with cyclists and one or two practicing with drones.
